Ghum(Nepali)
The name of the native covering made of leaves and bamboo strips, the shape of which resembles a ^ .

The position of the village of Ghum, which occupies a narrow ridge on the summit of the two steep slopes, has suggested this name.
Another and more probable explanation is that the name means merely the bend of the hill, which is very distinct at this place.
