The Trainz Darjeeling Himalayan  Railway Project

A Look at  What is Coming Down the Tracks By John D'Angelo

What I do want to tell you  about, is the effort to create a working model of the DHR, in full scale,  using a computer program made by the Auran Company called Trainz.
Full scale means that when trains are run on the railway, the running  time of the model will closely match the actual time in real life.

The Trainz DHR Project Group  is now working with Trainz TRS2004 and creating many hundreds of custom  items so that they can duplicate, as closely as possible, the look and  operation of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.
They have created the terrain elevations and main line from actual maps  of the route, models of actual buildings and stations on the DHR, and  models of the rolling stock, including those beautiful steam engines.
