The narrative is in German, but the film work is good. The film reviews wildlife, tea, Buddhism, Mountaineering, but the second half of the film concentrates on the DHR, mainly between Ghum and Darjeeling, with some historic photos included.

An affectionate portrait of the DHR by David Barrie
This DVD has been produced for the enjoyment of both train enthusiasts and families alike. It follows the adventures of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Society's trip to the line in the early Spring of 2001. Some 200 hours of tape was edited to one hour to ensure the video is fast moving, combining line-side shots with those from the footplate, coal bunker, and archive film from both the 1930's and 1970.Featuring professional narration and specially composed music.Filming was done 'On the hoof', making use of every opportunity offered but with no chance of a retake. The video was shot using DV and Hi8 cameras and has been digitally edited and mastered.
