Going Loopy

Details of the loops, spirals and reverses of the DHR explained.
The line has at the moment; 3 loops and 6 reverses to help gain height in a short space.
But over the years due to rain and land slides, the track bed has needed to be changed to keep the trains running.

A collection of black & white photographs and historical text about the line.
Taken at the end of the Second World War, with limited access to materials and since these were usually reserved for the war effort, prints were often small in size.
