Upcoming shows that we are attending, come and talk to some of our members,

  The DHRS Sales Stand will be attending the following shows
 
Saturday 10 March: The Societies Sales stand will be at NARROW GAUGE NORTH, Benton Park School, Harrogate Road, Rawdon, Leeds, LS19 6LX. The show is open 10.00 - 17.00
 
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March: the Society's Sales Stand will be at the LONDON FESTIVAL OF RAILWAY MODELLING, Alexandria Palace, North London N22 7AY.
The show is open 10.00 - 17.00 Saturday, 10.00 - 16.30 Sunday.
 
Saturday 31 March: The Society's Sales Stand will be at the 16mm ASSOCIATION NATIONAL GARDEN RAILWAY SHOW at the Peterborough Arena, East of England Showground , Peterborough PE2 6XE.
The show is open 10.00 - 17.00
 
Saturday 14 April: The Society's Sales Stand will be at NARROW GAUGE SOUTH, Sainsbury Building, Sparsholt College, Winchester, SO 21 2NF. The show is open 10.00 - 17.00

 DHRS Evenings - Middleton Railway invitation

With the comments about the possible idea of DHRS social evenings as mentioned in the recent excellent (as ever) Darjeeling Mail.
On the first Tuesday of each month at Moor Road (Middleton Railway in Leeds) we hold a social evening that DHRS members can attend and participate in.  There is no necessity to be a member of any society just to have an interest in railways. We had Peter “Fuzz” Jordan do an India & DHR show many months ago.
People often arrive before 19:30 and have a bit of a catch-up with friends as they also do in the refreshment break. This would provide an ideal Yorkshire based meeting point and I’m sure that there are other similar meetings in other parts of the country that DHRS members could attend as members of other groups.
For those that don’t know where the railway is, it is  just off the M621 to the south of the city. For SatNav./Google maps etc LS10 2JQ
As usual the evening starts at 19:30 and should be finished between 21:30 and 22:00 with a refreshment break. Admission is free to all and all are welcome. Please spread the word. The programme for the remainder of 2011 is as follows and I really must start filling some dates for 2012 soon!
